Joel Romelo (born 3 April 1989) is an Australian rugby league player for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL. His primary position is hooker. Originally from Darwin, he is of Aboriginal and Italian heritage. Romelo made his NRL debut for the Penrith Panthers in Round 8 of 2009. After playing three games for the club, he was sacked for disciplinary reasons in March 2010, and was rapidly signed up by Canterbury. After playing in the Bulldogs' NSW Cup side, he made his NRL debut for Canterbury against his former club, Penrith, in May that year. In 2011 he was announced as a member of the Italian team that will compete in the 2013 World Cup qualifying.
